Digi001 & Digital Performer????? HELP

Hello Everyone,
I see on the spec sheet that only Cubase and Logic are the recommended 3rd party choices, but what about Digital Performer? I know the competition is fierce between Digi and MOTU, but soon I will have both. My 001 has been ordered and I am patiently waiting its arrival, but now I am worried that I might have to ditch Dig Performer and get Cubase or Logic. Anyone out there in a similar situation?? How are the midi capabilities of the 001??? Is it enough??? If not, what is everyone using???

I hardly ever use Cubase anymore. PTLE seems to do everything I need in midi. There are more advanced midi tools (and some things are easier) in the other systems, but for your basic midi stuff, PTLE seems to work fine for me.

I had heard that the "next" version of DP will support the 001. I don't know if it's been released yet.
