This is actually a decent plugin to have on hand. Simple to use, but can create a smooth and distinct reverb. I have found it useful for adding some punch to a snare or crash cymbals on a drum mix, for example, among other things.

I’m away from my music system for few days so can’t compare them, how do they compare to Plugin Alliance and IKM (many similar/overlapping plugins)? Are they as good as they are hyped to be?

Universal Audio plugins are stellar although Plugin Alliance and IKMM are excellent too. UA were far too expensive in the past (even before considering the hardware alternative) and cumbersome with the UA applets.

Now they are fully native and sensibly priced things are looking up. I tried the Spark subscription for 3 months for £1 and I liked pretty much everything. So I will probably keep my eye on a larger bundle.

There are still some of their best sounding plugins that are not Native yet.
For example Neve 1073/1081, Ampex ATR-102 tape, Maag EQ4, EMT 140 Classic Plate.
