Using Sonar Midi files in Pro Tools
I'm trying to import a midi file from Sonar into ProTools. The import works, but when the file plays back, the sounds are not the same as the sounds in the sonar midi file. My input for the Sonar midi file is my Yamaha USB midi interface cable, and the output is a specific kit from a drum map. However, in ProTools, my only options for inputs and outputs for a midi file are my Yamaha USB interface cable and two others (some kind of synth and something else that I can't remember). What can I do to get the correct Midi sounds in ProTools? Is there a way to step record in ProTools like I do in Sonar? If so, how do I do that?

Re: Using Sonar Midi files in Pro Tools
There are 4 types of midi formats that can be exported out of Sonar,Mid 0,Mid 1,riff Mid 0,and riff Mid 1.Which one are you exporting?

Re: Using Sonar Midi files in Pro Tools
I imported it as a MIDI 0 file. Would it make a difference to save it as a MIDI 1 or MIDI 2 file? I do know that it has to be a .MIDI file.
