The latter. I'm a retired software engineer, so I can see how this happened. You have a new development team (they moved development to Poland about the time this feature was being created), and their job is to modify the code to make collaboration work. Problem is, they don't know the code very well yet, and they have to make tons of changes everywhere to make that feature work because adding that feature impacts so many areas of the software. And engineers unfamiliar with the code will break things when they have to go in and start making lots of modifications to existing functionality.

It's predictable.

I thought I even read that in the user guide awhile back. I realize without the hardware I wouldn't have the HDX DSP capabilities but most of my plugins I use are from the Universal Audio DSP. Except for a few that I could run native anyway.

i've been using HD since PT10 with no avid hardware
