MC Control and MC Mix lose focus
Hi. I searched for this problem, but I didn't find anything.
We're demoing the MC Control and MC Mix with PTHD 9.0.2 on an HD2 system. I can get them both to be recognized by Pro Tools, but they both lose focus to Pro Tools after 10 seconds or so. One way to get its focus back is to Command-Tab to another app like Firefox and Command-Tab back to Pro Tools. Then I'll play with a fader or knob and then it loses focus in the middle of it. This happens to both the MC Control and MC Mix. I have them both setup with Static IPs going to a switch which is connected to one of the Ethernet ports on the MacPro. I'm also running 2.5.7 of EuControl and I've updated both firmwares.

Re: MC Control and MC Mix lose focus
OK, things are behaving strangely.
I just used the MC Mix yesterday and it work for about 10 minutes before losing focus. I would have to continually re-add it to My Surfaces in EuControl to regain control in Pro Tools. Today I'm only trying the MC Control and it's seems to work perfectly well, except when I booted my MacPro EuControl didn't automatically start and I had to start it manually. I'm not feeling confident with these surfaces yet.

Re: MC Control and MC Mix lose focus
I post this also here as it seems that we have the same or a similar problem:
0) i have a new iMac 27' core i7 10.6.6 i have LATEST euphonic software 2.5.7 1) i was able to connect the MC Control to the network, had some problem with DHCP mode but in manual address mode it got connected 2) the finder is controlled without problems, and macros and keyboard combinations works very well. also application switching and many more less useful functions for music:) --- this means that the network is connected, at least for controller ----> computer --- all this functions that are working implies no feedback to the device (like moving fader or light-up of buttons---- the tragedy is: 3) if i use for example a FADER to control in volume pro tools 9.0.1 or logic 9.3.1happens ALWAYS the following behavior: 3a) the volume in the DAW is changing accordingly to my fader movement 3b) the volume level in the Controller Display is NOT changing 3c) after i release the touch control of the fader, since the internal state of fader is not changed (the volume label in the mc control is not changed) THE FADER IS PUSHED BACK IN THE OLD POSITION AUTOMATICALLY 3d) THE UNIT GOES OFFLINE and gets back to the "Welcome to artists series..etc.." 3e) at this point is impossible to communicate with the DAW (logic or pt). ----- this applies to faders, knobs, track names (if i change in DAW it's not updated in the controller) and other controls that implies a bi-directional communication 4) i can recover getting back to a basic applications like the finder and then going back to the daw, the connections then is restored, but as long as i move a fader all the sequence of problems is repeated exactly: basically then: when i do simple things that involves no level change or audio interaction everything goes well (use the touch screen to place markers, copy files in finder…trash items) everything goes well. when i do audio stuff that implies an advanced communication the controller goes offline! Today, I had both the MC Control and the MC Mix hooked up together and everything worked fine. I really can't see what the problem is other than ghosts in the machine. Specifically the MC surfaces. We've used a Command 8 for 4 years without almost any problems.

Re: MC Control and MC Mix lose focus
RESOLVED: Network was configured well but INTERNET SHARING was active, so anytime i moved a fader the controller started to listen for data feedback from DAW and instead it probably got some webpages or spam :)

I checked on my end and I didn't have Internet Sharing checked. I wish it would have been that simple.

Re: MC Control and MC Mix lose focus
Oh hey lookadat! The third fader on the MC Control just unglued itself and will flip up if I press down on it. We've only had these for 2 weeks. $1500 for this?
Edit: Oh wait, they all come off easily? I guess if you want to clean them. I didn't expect it to come off so easily by just bringing the fader down though.

Re: MC Control and MC Mix lose focus
i paid around 900$ a new v1 still remained in the shop. They are exactly the same functionality, looks pretty identical and the touchscreen is slow as hell but rather readable. for the price i got i can be happy.
