Default mute singel notes shortcut???

I might be an idiot here but can someone please tell me how to mute single notes on a miditrack. For instance I wanna mute all snare-drums on a track that also includes a kick and other stuff. I wanna try other snares together with that kick without having to delete the snare.

I looked in the manual and it appears that there is no way listed to mute individual MIDI notes. A work around would be to create a duplicate playlist, click the correct note on the edit window midi keyboard icon (left side of the edit area for the track) and delete the snare notes. This will give you a clean playlist to experiment with while leaving the original untouched. Good luck.

But there is a workaround.

Delete the note and memorize where it was.
