Default Computer boots to BIOS screen every time I boot up

I've never had this happen before, since I've had this system running for about two years now. It's an Athlon 64 system (older version of the Allenstein) and for some strange reason, all of a sudden, whenever I turn the computer off and shut down the power on my power distributor for an exended amount of time and reboot, it automatically goes to the BIOS setup screen. Any ideas what might be causing this?

If I turn off the computer but leave the power on, it boots up fine. Is it possible that the battery on the A7V333 motherboard that stores the onboard settings is dead, and can it be replaced?

That's where I would start, the battery, then reset the cmos w/ the jumpers on your motherboard, and configure your bios.

if it persists, look into flashing your Bios.

I agree with David on this, those batteries can be something else...
