drive cannot be designated as an audio record volume because
Hey guys,
I bought a couple WD firewire externals...one to use on a MAC and the other on a PC. When running Protools LE 7.3.1cs2 on a PC, I have no trouble running it on the WD drive. However, whenever I try to run the other one on a MAC, it always gives me the message "drive cannot be designated as an audio record volume because it is not a valid audio record volume." I can copy to and from the drive in MAC OS (10.4.8), however protools just won't let me use it...any suggestions Thanks |

Re: drive cannot be designated as an audio record volume because
the drive is likely formatted MS-DOS. On the Mac system, "Get info" on the drive to check this. Drives must be formatted as MacOS Extended in order for Pro Tools to recognize them as valid for recording/playback.
