Default dae error 7054 / 7401 with BFD pt 7.1 le crash

hi,
everytime i try and utilise bfd within pro tools i get either of the dae errors 7054 ( groups, ultra, stereo) or 7041 ( with BFD mono).

This causes pt to crash out and makes using bfd totally out of the question.
BFD loads fine in standalone mode. I have also tried the vst version within a wrapper and this doesnt work and the vst version within ableton love and it also causes live to crash.

Any ideas? help!

my demo needs drums..........
thanks

using:
bfd 1.5
pt le 7.1
mesh laptop
3.4ghz prescot
1gb ddram
100gb hd partitioned into 2 -pt running on one and recording onto the 2nd - bfd running entirely off the 2nd partition

Have you updated your BFD to the latest version?

Failing that drop FXpansion's tech support team a line on support /at/ fxpansion /dot/ com, I'm sure they'll be able to sort you out.

I had the same trouble w/BFD 1.5 as I was making the switch from BFD Lite. I was cleaning things up a bit and I think I deleted a file or two in the process. Enter the dae 7401 error. Tech support was slow, and it wasn't until I reinstalled everything (including my operating system OS X) that I was dae error free. It was a little time consuming, but basically painless, and it was good to know that things were back to factory fresh. I am running PT 7 with BFD 1.5, SampleTank 2, and AmpliTube2.

Good luck,

Boy, I have been very seriously considering buying BFD but after doing a search I realize it appears it may be sucking hard with Pro Tools LE (while working better in other applications).

Aaargh!!!

Depends on your system. By and large, if you have the latest PT7-approved update for BFD and an adequately powerful machine, you should be fine... the problem is mostly that, because of bottlenecks in Mac OSX itself, BFD may need a more powerful machine to work reliably in PT-LE than it does in other host software.

At the low end of the system range (i.e. G4s), it seems to be almost pot-luck.. despite a great deal of investigation by both Digidesign and FXpansion, we have a situation where some people are able to run BFD fine in PT with a single G4 800, yet some have difficulties with a (theoretically 3x more powerful) dual G4 1.2 (and can run BFD fine in Nuendo).

With PT LE 7.1, a G5, and the latest update for BFD, you will almost certainly be fine, just make sure you've got enough RAM -- at least 1.5GB for best performance, and more if you want to run other RAM-hungry plugs like Trilogy or Ivory at the same time.
