Default MBox Pro 2: recording 6 tracks simultaneously

Hey everybody
I have an mbox pro 2. I usually do not need to record more than 2 tracks at a time, but the other day i needed as many tracks going as i could get. I was told the mbox pro 2 could handle 6 tracks simultaniously, but i could only get input 1 and 2 going. I plugged into the aux line in jacks in the back which i was assuming were input 3 and 4, but could not get any signal through them. Could anybody help me out a bit and nudge me in some sort of sensical direction? Thanks

Take a look at your I/O setup in the protools menu..

You may need to go through the tabs and hit the "default" button to make those additional inputs available in the PT mixer window..

Are you setting the channel inputs to "analog 3-4" (or however they're labeled)?

Like Flommer said, check your I/O settings in PT and make sure that all 6 available inputs are set up correctly. You'll also need to make sure your Aux In is set to Line In, not Phono, via that switch on the front. These Aux ins are indeed Analog 3-4 in PT.

You probably know this, but just to cover all the bases: To get your 5th and 6th channels, you'll need a device with A/D conversion and a S/PDIF connection. You'll also need to set your clock input to S/PDIF (instead of the usual Internal) and make sure the sample rates of the two devices are equal.

This is all straightforward stuff, so I assume you've already got it working by now...
