The track scrolling macro posted above seems like a good workaround, but I can't get it to work. When I press the soft key the Scroll to Track dialog appears, with a default value of "1", and...well...that's it. Nothing else happens for me after that.

Did they ever work out that banking issue for multiple mix units? I've only got a controller. I have considered getting a pair of Artis Mix units to go with it. But if I can't bank all 20 fders at a time, I'm not going to bother. I had wondered if it were possible to do something like Klangmaschinerie worked out, perhaps with just layouts. IE: Chs 1 - 20 in layout one, 21 - 40 in layout 2 and so on. You could have 100 track mobility in 5 layouts.

It's just a thought. I can't try it out because I don't have multiple units. But I wondered if this ever got sorted out. I mean it's been 2 years since this post. Did Avid do ANYTHING to address this?

great work around! I'm gonna try it.

I'm a fairly new user to the Artist series controllers, Ive been using a pro control for ages and everything in-between made by avid. I have to say I really Like the Artist and Eucon protocol. I can set up all kinds of custom layouts and buttons that none of the digidesign boards can do. Very cool. I have some serious peeves as well but thats a whole other issue and story.
what I want to know now is how SnapShots are used and how to apply them to a mix project.

NO!

I have one CONTROL, and one MIX... all twelve channels are highlighted properly in the Cubase Pro 8 mixer, but will only bank 8 channels at a time!

You can set the CONTROL to bank independently of the MIX, but that just makes things more confusing for me!

On the bright side... with independent banking you could for example display a channel on both units simultaneously , or have a set of dedicated faders (VCA's) for the CONTROL

And we're supposed to "SUSCRIBE" to this B.S. for $600 a year?!!? Seriously?!

Since no "subscription plan" has been announced for the Artist units,

The answer is NO...seriously.

Statements like yours are how a lot of rumors, half-truths, and flat-out lies get started...Avid has made it pretty clear the "wild west days" are over around here...it's probably a good idea to stick really close to the facts going forward...

I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?

What do you mean by the "Wild West Days?"
