Pro tools won't uninstall

When I hit the uninstall button shown in the picture, nothing happens. Any advice?

What OS are you running? The uninstaller doesn't work in 10.9

Ok, I'm running OSX 10.9.1. How do I do a clean uninstall then?

For 10? You don't.

For 11? Just trash the app. OR

You can't uninstall PT10 as Mavericks isn't supported so you have to do a manual uninstallation and remove every file by hand

This is why 10 is not approve for 10.9.x

If you absolutely must, wipe the drive and start over with the OS

Is there a tutorial for this somewhere?

The reason I want to uninstall is because I want to update from PT 10.3.7 to 10.3.8.

Dare I say "just install over the old version"

Thats what we have done from version 10.0.1 and of course this isn't what Avid recommend but it has worked for us every time.

I am sorry I can't help you out with how to uninstall manually as we never done that but i am sure someone else will chime in with that.

It is of course up to you how you wanna do this and just cause it worked for us every time we installed over the older version doesn't mean it will work for you so if you only have one computer and it is the work horse I would probably do this the right way.

Me too. I've never discerned a difference between fully uninstalling first or not. At least in the Mac side. I know on PCs it can matter.
