Yes he did deliver the FG-X v1 workaround release, but his "soon" has become a joke long ago. Maybe he forgot that we're expecting a v2 release? He will "soon" realise this as nobody is recommending his stuff anymore, due to release problems.

Very true on the punctuality issues. But still the VMR and the VCC are pretty cool plug-ins and in spite of my "anger" because of the "soon release dates", I'd still recommend the two.

And yeah 2.0 will be cool when it gets here but I don't think this type of thread is justified anymore, he brought us what was lacking and fixed FGXv1 (it's usable now) what really pissed me off was the fact that he didn't want to fix it before he hired a bunch of folks and said there was nothing wrong with the code, THEN comes back later and says we found a bunch of stuff wrong with it....but hey that's just me and I got over it, and like I said it's totally usable now

Sure lets DM him on Twitter to remind him, but I don't think we should drag him through the mud about it, anymore

But to be honest he is probably not even working on it, but cranking out VMR is probably his hobby project.

i would have to agree his reliability is unreliable. lol but his on again off again antics and his pompous attitude has turned me off quite a bit. i still use the stuff i got and i like it but i will not buy any more and i would NOT suggest his plugs to anyone. but that is just me. you can have the best stuff in the world but if you cannot be trusted... people will find someone or something else. there are plenty of fine plugins out there if you just look and demo. cheers

Fabrice has been consistently working on the new FG-X 2.0 algorithms. This particular plugin is quite a challenge because unlike modeling analog gear, there is no reference for FG-X 2.0! But basically our mission with this new loudness enhancement process is to make it the absolute best in the industry for all types of music, so we’ve committed to only releasing it when it represents that statement. And the good news is, that we’re getting really close. FG-X users, stay tuned for some more information as we get closer. Having said that, the current FG-X is no slouch when it comes to making mixes louder while retaining their punch and dynamics, so check out this tutorial where I increase a mix by 10db without ruining the sound: Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla!

Really close as in atleast 13-14 months into the future close? (like it's a year and some time) since we were "really close"

I have given up on that plugin and the promises .. But for the hopefulls, look really close for FG-X 2 around Christmas 2020 !!! GoKanye4Prez
