AVID HD MADI power consumption

I am doing a studio installation and have looked for the maximum power consumption(in Watts) for the AVID HD MADI device but cannot seem to find anything. Would anybody know the Power Specs for this device?

Hello,

The HD Madi unit is marked as consuming 1A of current. We don't know if that's maximum, average, 110v or 220v or both (probably not the same at any voltage).

You say you're doing a studio install, if you're an integrator you must be familiar with switching power supply startup current and how it can be an order of magnitude more than operating current. You don't build your power distro based on that figure but it enters into turn-on staging requirements.

If you're not an integrator then to cover yourself use the 1A current as an operating figure.

All this information is based on our units that have a label on the back that says "100-240v;50-60Hz;1A" which could be complete fabrication. Probably not a fabrication.
