S3 Causing Issue with Cleanmymac 3 [solved]
Hi ,
I recently purchased an Avid S3 to replace my 2 Artist Mix controllers. So far so good . My issue is I've been using CleanMyMac 3 software for about 8 months with no issues . Yesterday CMM3 app asked me to give activation code. Strange since the software was bought and activated 8 months ago. Every time I put in the code i got an error message. I wrote to customer support for CMM3 and was told to make sure my internal network card was enabled . Check . Also trash internal network prefrence (paraphrasing) . Did all of the above .... no dice. So I started thinking about how this happened a few days after installing the S3 and decided to quit eucon software and shut down S3 and BAM! CCM3 took my code. So I turn on S3 and start eucon app and CMM3 starts asking for the code again. So 2 things changed in my set up . Avid S3 and I connect straight to the mac pro without the ethernet router. Not a big deal to shut down the S3 and Eucon to run the CMM3 app but I'd like to see if anyone has had similar issues. If so , what can I do to resolve this?

It sounds like the Cleanmymac software is using the Mac Address of the network port (a common practice) for authenticating a system. I wonder if it looks at a different port when EuControl is running and then thinks you are not authorized.

Hi Eddie,
Thanks for replying, I just reset my pram and clean my mac is acting as should. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. Hope this helps anyone else that encounters the same issue.
