using PT8 in 24 nit with 16 bit samples
can anyone advise me if there any issues using pt8 in 24 bit and importing 16 bit samples.
For example I have Native instruments battery 3 full of 16 bit samples, would i get better results if converted my samples to 24 bit for battery first? or when importing a vocal or loop straight into PT would i get better results if they were 24 bit first? Just looking for some advice |

No, leave them at 16bit. Converting them to 24bit just adds extra bits of empty data into the file.

so does it put extra pressure on pt8 when working in 24 bit but importing 16 bit files?
