Default Bug in firmware 2.0.1

Sorry my first post is a bug report. I look forward to learning more about the 11R and sharing ideas.

This isn't a very serious bug. Most won't notice it. I hit it within 20 minutes after turning my unit on for the first time.

If you go to: User Options/MIDI CC Reference

Here, you can view a list of all the CC numbers for various parameters. However, if you try to scroll past the very last page of CC's (MIDI CC#'s for Rig Input Select, which I think is the 75th page), the 11R will freeze with a blank screen. The only way to restore functionality is to turn off and on again.

I reported this bug to Sweetwater and they were able to verify it. I'm fairly certain Avid won't bother to fix this. But some users might appreciate this warning, and confirmation that it is an actual bug of the firmware.

So when you see "MIDI CC#'s for Rig Input Select" either stop scrolling or be prepared to power off & on.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for the tip!
I doubt we'll see any firmware updates for the 11R, but it's still a great unit, enjoy.

Yea, it's an odd little "booby trap".

Hardly anyone will enter that MIDI CC reference, and even fewer will ever scroll past the 75th page, much less on a gig. Pretty harmless.

However, it does lock up the system, so I could imagine a developer wanting to fix it as a point of personal pride. (But it depends on the developer, I guess).

I look forward to reading and posting here.

Yes, this is a known issue from at least 5 years ago. The posts since then have been archived and I can't find them right now, but Sweetwater made a post about it back in 2015.

This won't be fixed. Sorry.

Ah. That's why I couldn't find it.
