Default Newbee Track Count Question

New to the forum and thanks in advance. I use Pro Tools basically because of it's universal standing. I prefer to mix in Nuendo. So, I consolidate and tranfer the tracks to Nuendo. No big deal. I only have a Digi002 running 6.4. I have recently recieved an HD file with more than 32 voices(tracks). Is it possible to transfer one group of files 1st, then delete those and play the remaining files and transfer those out next?

Yup,

I see no problem. What protools will do is tell you that you ahve exceeded ur number of voices for playback etc. etc. So it will show all 40-50 tracks or whatever it is, but the first 32 will only actually have audio coming out.

so yea... I'd just save the session as a differnet session (duh) and then bounce out the first 32. Then delete those 32 and bounce otu the next batch (I would save that under a diff. name just so you know).

But if your using Nuendo, then you know what is up... Good luck!

Yes, but you don't have to delete them, just inactivate them. Pro Tools LE limitation (without the new toolkit) is on active voices. You can have as many as 128 tracks, but only 32 voices active at a time. Any voices over 32 will be automatically inactivated. To be able to activate the ones over 32, you would just inactivate the active ones.
