melodyne confliction with 6.7 drivers

seem to be having problems with my 6.7 drivers on windows XP, i just installed melodyne 2.X and up dated to the 2.5v. i encountered an error with melodyne drivers at first then i did the re-boot and melodyne works but i try to access pro-tools and the pop-up menu says "drvers need up-dates to run program" so i reinstalled 6.7 with the only up-dates posted for 6.7 and still no access, does any one know of this problem. p.s. waiting on melodyne's answer.
