Talking PT9/003 Factory/Liquid Saffire 56?

Anyone here using PT9 with the 003 for the control surface, but the Liquid Saffire 56 for the pre amp successfully?

Or is it possible without too much conflict? I read somewhere about this combo but don't remember a clear answer. Any help is appreciated!

I doubt it if you use the 003 you've to use the interface. I think peoplehave had issues with the controller in pro tools 9 unsure though. And many people including myself are happy with focusrite saffire interfaces. I have the pro 40.

I think I recall reading in a post that the problems with the 003 Factory (control surface) were fixed in an update for PT9. I'm not 100% sure as to what the problems were/are, but I suspect if there is any still that they are working on resolving any problems with the 003 and PT9.

What I am inquiring is if it is possible to use the 003 as the audio interface with the LS 56 routed into it with the adat input and still be able to use the liquid pre amp emulation software. I'm guessing that it would still have to be routed into the computer via firewire, but the 003 will also be plugged in firewire. I'm not sure if this would work or is designed to work this way as they are both considered audio interfaces.

Of course I may not really know unless I find someone that has a similar system going.

Hello ... did you/someone actually get this working like a normal interface? I have a Saffire Pro 24 DSP ... can't get it working. On playback I have the audio from Pro Tools coming into the Saffire twice it seems. I listen on headphones and even with the level all the way down I hear PT ... then as I turn the volume up I hear more volume.

Very weird and would just like to hear that someone has it working out there!

Thx!

Have you set up everything in the Saffire mix control software? Took a little while for me to get it set properly.

Just came across this:

Avoiding issues using a Saffire with Pro Tools 9

Don't know if it will help but it's worth looking at.
