Default Very long launch time + continuous crashes

Hello community.
Total noob here
PTF installed okay after solving the 'AAE error -6117' issue.
Procedure for system startup:
-connect audio interface Behringer UMC404HD
-turn the notebook on
-launch PTF.
1st issue:
is a3m15 s launch time normal?
2nd issue:
after the second or third key pressed in PTF for whatever reason (e.g., create a project then hit any part of the Arrange window), PTF crashes.
No other software open, no other device inserted except the UMC404HD.
I have followed all the optimization steps.

Don't worry you're not alone. This software sucks. Period.

You're better off not wasting your time and just using something else until AVID decides they want to back up their product.

Charlie, the fact that you're running Windows 7 with only 8 GB of memory could be a large part of your problem, but try running PT with the Behringer turned off. Don't worry about the error message you'll get as long as you don't try saving the session, you should be fine.
