Re: import cd audio really slow playback/scroll
You can always just drag the audio files front he CD to your desktop, and THEN import them into PT... Usually quicker than trying to do it directly.

Re: import cd audio really slow playback/scroll
Thanks for the tips guys! Thats basically what I've been doing to get around this. I just created a TEMP folder on my desktop to drag CD tracks on to, then once they're on the hard disk, Pro Tools imports them much quicker. Its just a strange thing thats come up. This never used to happen working in PT 8 LE with os 10.5.8

Re: import cd audio really slow playback/scroll
Some further testing seems to indicate this is an OS related issue, as the same version of Pro Tools has different results in Leopard vs. Snow Leopard.
We'll look at ways of improving this, but I can't say for sure what is possible - it really depends on where the fix may have to occur (Pro Tools vs. OS). |

Re: import cd audio really slow playback/scroll
Hi, just to add
I am also always connected to ethernet for D-Command, I turned off Airport but no difference was apparent when auditioning and importing. Simon |
