I think initially this is meant to be an extension of capability for current S3 owners. Might have to wait a bit for availability and pricing of just the control surface.

Where did you see "shipping" in Q3? That's probably for the software.

Price guess?

Yeah I have noticed that that site has had that issue for weeks now and I emailed them about that but they never responded

Don't feel bad; I've had issues over the years with PTE site and emailed them but never got a response either. I think they have some weird scripts running with the ads that screws things up.

I think this refers to Avids third financial quarter not the the third quarter of the year, right? So when is Q3?

The Avid blog still mention the standalone capabilities, so I wouldn't worry too much.
