LOL. . . sorry, it's really not funny.
No, not in the $20 paid version from a few months ago, and no, not in the $349 paid upgrade to PT9.
"Industry leading software" except for we don't make mp3's too good. . . no big deal though, I'm sure mp3's won't become an industry standard or anything.
Sorry, couldn't help the rant.

Actually the preferences for MP3 options should 'stick' in Pro Tools 9 - they do on every system I'm using.

If they're not - try trashing preferences.

I've trashed all prefs several times in the last couple of weeks and still, I'm about to export a region as mp3 and the mp3 export is reverting back to it's factory "fastest"/128k settings.

Just googles and found this old thread.
Having the same problem.
Not a biggie, but still irritating when you do 10-15 mp3s a day.
And it seems random.
Sometimes it keeps the settings, sometimes not.
Mostly not.....
Anything ever come out of this?

Not that I've seen. Despite Tech Support's post above, quitting pro tools still causes mp3 option settings to reset to default of "fastest/128."
