Default PT 10-Fixed HW Buffer size

Hello,
I only got to use PT 9 once ( so didn't have a chance to check this issue) as I got the upgrade to 10 straight away. Anyway I am having issues with my HW buffer size, it is fixed at 256, which is fine for now, but I would like the option of increasing it for bigger editing sessions in the near future. I am using the Sound devices Usbpre 2 as my audio interface. I have reinstalled the SD asio drivers and updates, changed sample rates, tried asio4all, .. Otherwise everything is working great on PT 10, except I am fixed at 256. Did anyone have a similar problem in PT 9 or in 10?
Hope someone can help.

More than likely, it is to do with your hardware, not the software. With Focusrite they have their "MixControl" (what I use), and in order to change buffer size sometimes I would need to change it in their utility before opening Pro Tools.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the usbpre 2 has no such mixcontrol or related software included, it is a plug in and play device with no drivers, except with the added asio driver (Windows only) for use in PT. Even when I open up the Hardware under setup, all I get are priority settings and bit depth rates currently being used. No word clock settings etc... So I'm a bit confused. But will keep researching. Thanks again.

You should be able to set that in the ASIO4ALL control panel.

Thanks JoelG.
It's all OK now. It was the included Usbpre 2 asio driver that was causing the problem. I uninstalled it and just installed asio4all and it has fixed the issue. Cheers.
