Default LE/RTAS alternative to Princeton Reverb 2016 Plugin

Hi,

Anybody know of a great LE/RTAS alternative to Princeton Reverb 2016 Plugin? Something that emulates the 3 reverb algorithms (Stereo Room, Room Reverb, and High Density Plate). Especially the Stereo Room algorithm.

Thanks,

PowerMac G5 DualCore 2.3 (PPC) with 8 GB of Ram, Tiger 10.4.11
DIGI 002 (Console), Pro Tools LE 7.3.1cs7

DVR2 is TDM only, I would say Breverb.

Crizdee - unfortunately that one is TDM only.

For an RTAS version - well, I don't know that there's one exactly like the Princeton, but some you may want to look at would be:

Breverb
Sonnox Oxford
WaveArts Masterverb
Waves Renaissance Reverb or Trueverb

I'm assuming you're not looking for a convolution reverb...

Thanks for the help guys,

"I'm assuming you're not looking for a convolution reverb..."

That's correct. I have all of the others you mentioned but I'm unable to get the same results as the "Stereo Room" from the 2016.

Sorry i thought all the TC verbs were RTAS as well. It is supported if you have FXpansions wrapper! "RTAS (ProTools) is supported via the VST to RTAS adapter from FXpansion (optional)" could be an option!

I agree the Breverb is good

Hi,

I only know of one reverb sounding like the Princeton Digital and that is Princeton Digital. Fortunately and unfortunate for any NON tdm users PD is a pretty unique sounding reverb.

I dont really think that DVR2 is comparable to the PD. While I really like the VSS3 I find the DVR2 somewhat annoying.

You may wanna look into convolution reverbs. That technology has come a long way - and that is ALL I use these days. The just sound so amazingly natural.
