Default Tech support utility in PT8

Has anyone experienced this?

I use the tech support utility to clear out databases and prefs with no problem until PT8. When I launch the .exe file now and choose option 2 (i think to trash prefs and DB) It gives a message that it can't find the disk. It lets me retry or continue. I just keep hitting continue (it is like it pauses before each action). It seems to clean them out but I am getting worried that it might do something wrong.

HELP

PS: Is there a new version of this I need to get with ILOK authorization and a WUP charge with 10 CS updates?...Just kidding. I know the drill

Did you download the version specifically for Pro Tools 8? Are you on XP or Vista? Are you dual-booting?

Thank for the info. I just downloaded it. Have you used it yet? does it remove all your plugs and render your system helpless?...LOL

Ok Digi. I installed the tech support for PT8 from your instructions. Now it gives me a black DOS screen instead of a white DOS screen with more options.

I am still having the same problems. This is what happens when I launch the application

http://www.pippinproductions.com/777/777.htm

Then I have to press continue several times. Then I am too acared to do anything else. I did use it on PT7.4 like this with the pressing continue several times and it seemd to delete everything and trash the preference but I don't want to "guess' What it will do.

Thanks,

PIP
