Quicktime Crashing when Pro Tools is running

Hello all

Everytime I am trying to audition a sound file with Quicktime (6.5.2), while running Pro Tools (6.4.1), it results in a crashing Quicktime. The only way to have both apps running is by launching Quicktime and the drag the audio file that I want to preview on the Quicktime icon that sits on the Dock (or drag it on the application icon - same difference).

Would anyone know what is the reason for this conflict?
