Forgot to mention,i also tried with the default (old) workspace as Connor said..still empty

In Preferences, is your Operation --> Documentation and Settings set for the correct location? Working here on the Mac also.

Good question with the Documents location!

The only other thing i can think of is something you've mentioned already trying but want to confirm the right files were involved. That is to trash the workspace database files.

Browse to /Users/Shared/Pro Tools
Move the following files to any other location (or delete if you wish):
MiscSettings
WaveCache.wfm
Workspace.wksp
Workspace.wksp-shm
Workspace.wksp-wal

Connor,i deleted all those files 2 or 3 times except the MiscSettings..thought it would relate to something else

Deleted MiscSetting and restarted Pro Tools
all seemed fine here
