So yes, my $399 for HD and $99 for non HD, was well worth it because I wouldn't want to be stuck on my old system. Commit and clip effects are really useful features. I rarely crash these days. Before 12.5 it could be several times an hour. My life was hell. Much better now.
And yet for me, 11 is working perfectly well. As an HD user still nothing to make me want to upgrade.

Well if you don't stay on the "support" (cough, cough) plan you lose the pleasure of paying Avid to be a beta tester. Nice work if you can get it...

Correct me if I'm wrong (might be HD only) but you also lose all of the Avid Bonus plug-ins like ReVibe and the ProCompressor/Limiters

Not if you already own them.

I know the OP said that they were not intending to renew, but suppose one does allow their plan to lapse, and then decides to renew in a few years time....

What I'm struggling to remember (although I'm sure it was discussed) is would a Perpetual License Bundle holder loose the licenses for PT10 & PT11 upon renewal?

That's an important consideration, because although PT12 has been a series of 1 step forward (in terms of features added / unlocked) and 2 steps back (in terms of old bugs being reintroduced), retaining a license for PT10 in particular is highly desirable & useful.

So, whilst allowing the plan to lapse would not affect ones ability to use PT10 or PT11, there's a chance that upon renewing you would suddenly loose that option.

I'm not sure if that's an argument for retaining the support plan, or for never renewing it...

Anybody have a definitive policy from Avid on this?

Default Q:What I will lose if don't renew the annual Upgrade and Support Plan?

No the perpetual includes the 10/11 versions.

They will all work perpetually , look at your ilok assets.

Revibe / subharmonic are probably the only two I really use
