Default Question about Export the song

What is the different between "selected tracks as new session" and "selected tracks as new AAF/OMF" ? Thanks!

AAF/OMF would be for sending to another program, most likely Media Composer and it well adjust everything to video fram edges

"select track as new session" will make a new Pro Tools session from the selected tracks

yes, unless your session(s) are more jam/writing session that need to be separated out to individual sessions for further work
then I would probably do that myself before taking it to someone else

I would open the session and use the Save Session Copy command, check the box for "Copy Audio Files" and send the copy to the external drive.

I would do "save a copy as" if it's going to a pro tools system after a few steps. Make sure you know the version the target system is using. You may have to make it PT9 compatible.
Consolidate all tracks to the same length. Just select the session length and consolidate.
go to clip window, select unused. clear unused

Now Save a copy as. The session size of the audio folder will probably be a lot smaller now.

bring the whole session folder to the session by dragging and dropping.
Hopefully, common plugins are used if at all.
