MIDI tracks are recorded late
I recently changed my audio interface for a Focusrite PRO40 and noticed MIDI tracks are recorded late. i previously owned a presonus interface with no issues while recording
I use midi to trigger external hardware. the audio from these external devices IS recorded correctly. (when recording both midi and audio a noticeable offset is seen between them) i use direct monitoring from interface software with no latency while listening and performing. my usual buffer settings is 1024. if i decrease the buffer the midi track gets closer to the audio recorded as in 128 there is no delay between the audio and the midi signal. it seems as if delay compensation is not working for midi recording i tried recording in cubase with the same settings and have no problems at all |
