No, this is not true. While the graphics look similar, the distortion in these two plug-ins models two entirely different types of analog equipment. The saturation in Focusing EQ comes from overloading a circuit with a very nice input transformer. The distortion in the Saturation Knob comes from a circuit built up on a combination of tubes and transistors. So – two different flavors of distortion! The Gain knob in the Trident A-Range is yet another thing, of course taken from that very channel.

And the Saturation Knob has not yet been released for AAX 64 bit. It will be, and it will be free to all Pro Tools users.

The choice was between letting it delay the entire release, or releasing all the plug-ins that people have actually paid for first, and then get the freebie Saturation Knob fixed afterwards. I think we made the right decision.

Why not update your DUY plug to AAX DSP? Not very expensive. The process is automated, so you receive it instantly.

I think customer interaction like this is reason enough to change considering the reputation duy has.

Softube advised me to use the Summit Audio EQF-100 gain to emulate the duy valve plug in.

I try'ed it and...... By by by by duy!!!!!!!
Softube cl1b 2 db gain with eqf-100 2.5 db gain. Did even a better job from the duy dad valve!!!

I don't have dsp, my set up is hd native on windows.

Can't work with a company who lives on planet Jupiter. I need a replacement solution.
Since softube plugs are all modeled from tubes it only made sense to me that it should work. So I emailed softube with my dreams, and they advised me to simple push the gain from the summit audio EQ..... I still can't believe my ears!!
I'm going to post a sample, and let others decide as well

I Just purchased the (TSAR-1R Reverb). What a great plugin! Softube's got it going on! I can't wait to see what new plugins that are coming next. Keep up the good work! Exceptional! These guys have actually got me looking at some of the hardware units they modeled especially the (Tube-Tech CL 1B) and the (Summit Audio TL-100A).

In agree totally! I wish I would have tried these before some of my other like plugins.
