Yeah and one of those colorful keyboards that are currently M@( only, since the 002 offers most of us... nothing.

I have been arguing for command focus mode for over a year now. It's the most RIDICULOUS omission and digidesign, in true digi style WON'T give us a reason.

It SERIOUSLY limits the functionality of the ProTools software. One of the things I love about PT is the speed of editing, and the lack of command focus mode not only make some functions completely inaccessible (move a selection up and down tracks anyone!) but a lot of the other functions require either mousing around menus, or multi-key combinations.

DIGI PLEASE LISTEN !!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

Another day, another bump. Strange this.. are you sure you don't want proper key commands in LE?

I was really suprised when I got into LE, that it didn't have similar short cut keys to TDM.

It's odd, especially when you consider how strongly LE is marketed as a way to "learn" or make your way up to a TDM. How are you learning TDM if you can't use any of the similar keystrokes?

We use Avid systems here for our video work (Avid owns Digidesign) and for a while we had an Avid Xpress (comparable to an LE system at the time). Our Xpress system had almost all of the keyboard shortcuts as our high end Avid, minus the feature set that was exclusive to the high end product. No video editor would think of using a low-end Avid without their familiar key strokes, they might as well use an entirely differant system. It's interesting that that same line of thinking wasn't directed at LE.
