Default Digi001 and MPC 2000

Hi!

I would like to record my sequenced drumloops from my AKAI MPC2000 drum machine with midi, and MTC, in to the digi001
Would i be able to sync Digi001 to my MPC, and record the audio in PERFECT sync? or would i have to do alot of cut&paste etc to get it in sync?

Thanks!

My bet is that if LE generates MIDI Clock, the answer is "yes" and the MPC will slave to the tempo set in Pro Tools.

Right now, due to PT's absence of MIDI Clock, I often have to slave the MPC 2000 to Cubase, record that audio into the computer, then dump audio into Pro Tools.

Hopefully LE will solve this!

There's midi beat clock in PT5 (yessssssss)
Remember you could simply save your MPC sequence as a standard midi file and bring it into pro tools. Your velocity and quantize and ANY nuance that you did in the MPC will still be there. You'd be using the MPC like a sound module then and there would be NO syncing involved. Pro Tools would be in control of both the midi and the audio.
