I'm going to ask a possibly dumb question.... how do I add them, and how will they 'appear' inside Space?

ie what do I need to do to make them work?

In Space, there's a menu on the right above the IR list. Open it and you'll see the option to "add IR folder" or something similar. Choose it, navigate to the IR folder you want to add and then hit okay. Now they will show up in the IR list and you can browse and load to your heart's content.
