Default Need help with Midi overbubbing

Hi I'm new to using Midi in PT. I recently upgraded to OSX and am now using Reason with PT. The Question I have is this. When I'm recording for example drums with reason into PT in Midi I lay down a basic backbone beat. This usually consists of hi hats and shakers or kicks and snares. Once I get my groove going, let say hats and shakers, I then want to add my kicks and snare or any other percussions on top. Is there a way to do this on the same track without having to change Midi tracks? So far I've been recording each part of my drum kit on a different Midi track which I find a pain to do. I have used Cubase in the past for Midi and I know I was able to have a track looping while I kept adding parts in over and over without changing tracks. How can I do this in PT? Everytime I try doing this in PT I just end up recording over the part I just laid down. Can someone please help me with this problem, thanks in advance.

Nel

Turn on midi merge found on the transport. It looks like 2 arrows going into one. This will allow you to overdub midi.
