Default Install Error: 2147213312 for Creative Collection
Hi,

I'm getting an install error for M-Powered 8 , error 2147213312.

Just bought the software from my local Guitar Center. Got the error on my desktop, and then tried to install it on my laptop and got the same error. Two completely different systems, same error. My desktop runs Vista, and my laptop runs Windows 7. I'm not sharing any peripheral devices.

I'm using an M-Audio Firewire 410.

I've been researching this and have read that Kensington drivers can cause this, but I have no Kensington drivers or products. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this? Thanks!

Sounds like you have a bad disc. Call AVID Tech Support. If they can not make it work they will download the program software to you and mail you out a new disc. My first PT8 software disc was bad and this is what AVID did.

I talked to tech support over the telephone tonight and it was indeed a bad install disc! If anyone else has this problem, give tech support a call and they should be able to direct you to a download that won't have any errors.

do you have the number for tech support in the uk as i cannot find a copy of it and have this exact problem
