Yay (I think) - was finally able to get all the way through and get my WUP amount. Not-so-yay - $240 US for about half of my 40 or so plugins. I know it's capped at that amount but still - at this point in time I can't afford to WUP so looks like I'll be staying where I am unless I hit the lottery

Is anyone else having problems with the Waves site? I can't get help from their support because now, like before, I can't even get to their home page without kicking up errors like the above. Does anybody have an email address for their support channel? And again tried on two different browsers on both my Macs and the same thing.

I just checked, everything's good. Have you tried a different browser?

To WUP or not to WUP, that is the question! Right now I have 32 Waves plugs, but only 4 that I can upgrade to 11 as they are still in their upgrade year. The rest are either 9 (most of them) or 10, but past their WUP date.



The thing is, all the versions I have and use regularly work just fine. It seems to me the biggest enhancements in 11 are either cosmetic (more skins), or more presets by the pros. The presets are always nice, but I don't often use them anyways. The few fixes they have are for things I have not been affected by.



So, do I want/need to spend the $240 just to get everything up to 11? Plus, its an additional $100 if I WUP the 4 I already have still in their plan year. So really $340. Why does that sound like a lot to me? (Maybe that's because it is!! )


Anyway - I'll for sure update the 4 still in the plan year. But, I'm really debating whether or not I want/need to do the rest. I know they say to "future proof", but if everything works well now, what am I proofing against? When the time comes and we're told if you don't upgrade your product will no longer work, well, then, I'll have to do it, I guess. So do I really need to rush to do this right now? Anyone got a quarter I can flip. best out of 10?

What you said. They even publicly stated that they would be supporting DSP and then change their mind. I’m still mad about that. I only keep waves plug-ins for compatibility with old projects that I may need to open from time to time.

I pleased with the updated Renaissance plugins. The new UI is way better.
I'm generally pleased with my WAVES plugins - seems to be a minority opinion.
