Macbook Pro and Mbox 2 Pro and bus powering
I've got a interesting issue with the bus powering of my mbox pro with my 2.33 ghz macbook pro. When I bus power the mbox 2 pro I get a crackling out of one of the monitor outputs. When I plug the mbox into the wall it goes away . . . the crackling leads me to believe that the firewire bus is not outputting enough power to the mbox 2 pro. To test out the mbox I plugged it into the firewire bus on my mirror door G4 tower, and it bus powered the mbox pro without any crackling. Anyone have a similar problem? Thoughts? Are the any issues wth the bus powering of the mbox 2 pro with laptops? And yes the laptop was plugged in the wall when it was powering the mbox 2 pro Here are the exat specs on my setup: Macbookpro 2.33 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo 10.4.8 7.3.1 cs2 3 GB of RAM Firewire Drive chained to back of the Mbox 2 Pro |
