Oxygen 25 (2014) not recognised in PT LE 8.0.1 (Original MBOX)

Hi,

I have just purchased the new Oxygen 25, which supposedly should be plug and play, class compliant etc., unfortunately this has not been the case. The keyboard turns on, and I get a 'found new hardware' screen, and when I launch Pro Tools, I can select the M audio keyboard in setup>peripherals, but I only get 'none' in receive from, and send to. I have seen a references to using preset 10 for directlink, but this keyboard only seems to go to 5.

I looked into the available compatibility information as far as I could find, and was assured that with LE 8.0.1 cs2 I should be up and running. Well the keyboard is dead in the water, and will be going back shortly if I can't get this problem sorted out.

I have windows xp sp3, but have never downloaded any windows updates, as I built a PC specifically for Pro tools, with no internet connection as this always causes the system to fail eventually. There is nothing else I can think of, and no drivers available to download for my system. I am starting to wonder if it is because of the original Mbox being retired. Please help.

I don't know if it will work with Pro Tools LE 8.0.1, but you might try installing this from the M-audio website > Drivers > Keyboard series > Oxygen 25 (New):
DirectLink for Pro Tools

Hi Bruce,

Thank you for the suggestion. I get an error when I try to run the m-powered installer which says I need 8.0.5 installed. It doesn't find the driver from the device manager either.

No word from m-audio either...
