Default Digi 001 and PTLE 6.X

I'd like to get my PTLE software running on OSX, so I guess I need to upgrade to version 6.X, right? I understand the 001 is not 'officially' supported yet, but that seems to be working fine for most people. Before I drop more money for the upgrade, any more people out there wanna chime in to let me know it should be ok?

G4 1.25DP / OSX 10.3
Digi 001 / PTLE 5.2

PT6 OS X is worth every penny. I recently took my second drive with OS9 and deleted everything and reformatted. Have not missed a thing from 9.

Besides the better looking interface, rewire, etc. everything I do in OS X is smoother....the way a computer is supposed to work.

Exposé rocks !

well, I think I'm ready to do it! If I order online, will I get an immediate download or do I have to wait for a package in the mail?

This is not correct... the 001 is not officially supported with the latest update (6.2.2) which only works with Panther (which I see you are on), but for those still on Jaguar, those releases of PTLE 6 ARE supported with the 001. Just wanted to clarify that for anyone else who might read this.

It works great- even the non-supported version. Go for it.

And to the guy with the G4/400, I have a G4/450 and use Panther- much better than Jag. But still, that machine is not exactly state of the art for OS X. You have much more RAM than I do though, and that is a big deal esp. in OS X
