Default S3L owners how are you casing it?

S3L owners how are you casing it?

How are you casing up your S3L for transporting it and using it? Are you going for the ultimate in compactness or are you configuring for ease of use?

Compactness I want to be able to fly with the rigg. Manage to get the weights on both surface and engine to be around 20kg. (see pics)
Stage boxes travels in a SKB waterproof case with wheels.

That looks very interesting. What is the space above the engine for is that where the monitor goes? I have heard that some people are using touch screen monitors with the S3L and was looking for a good way to secure it so it works for being poked at. The case you have there looks like it could be secured with the right kind of mount.

Thank you.

Anyone else?

I have shared my setup before. I don't fly but I track each show for VISC and other reasons, so I think my setup is very nice for that. All hooked up and ready to go in notime. Also cool is, that everything can be covered extremely fast and tracking computer is safe at all times.

I have further modified the setup so that the screen can be at different angles

You are right, the engine is hard to spot and I completely forgot to point it out, it's right above the keyboard.

Here is a pic of the modified screen plate that can be set at various angles. Easy fix. This screen manufacturer has also touch screen versions and AFAIK Avid demo desks in EU have these touch screens.

I have mine in a Pelican 1730. I have the DSP in a 2 space rack next to the monitor on the bottom layer and the control surface on a custom made oak case on the top layer separated by a coroplast and foam divider.

I have pics but embarrassingly can't figure out how to post photos.

Hit quick reply button, then click Go Advanced to activate additional post options, then you see Attachment button, click on it and pop-up opens to show allowed file types and their max sizes. Or alternatively you can link to a picture posted elsewhere on the web.

That looks very interesting. I would love to see that sometime in person. Are you based in NY? I am in CT.
