Great idea WOW, very cool. Going to pick up a SSD that I been needing anyway and load it on there. You recommend Sierra, or High ?.

I do find it disappointing for one who has been loyal customer for many years from 7,8, & 9 is offered the same price as for someone who never purchased before (NEW), @ $299, subscription that is.

I would have liked the $299 to own out right, and be okay with running whatever version that it lapsed too. But to freeze after a year is not cool for a loyal customer.

I see why there are videos on the tube regarding this dilemma, for me anyway.

Please forgiver for making harder for myself, but that's how I see it as a loyal customer.

If you pay $’299 you get the updates during a year aswell as a PERPETUAL license if you stop paying the yearly fee.

If you wanna BUY PT it is not $299, it is $599 and yes, the same price for monthly subscription is $299 BUT that is for someone who does NOT own a valid version for upgrade. And that SUBSCRIPTION will not work when you stop paying so what is your issue with this? People have explained several times now that the $299 update price is for people who has a version of 9/10/11 already and that will be a perpetual license after that year if you stop paying for the next year ...

You are still lumping Perpetual and Subscription together even though they are different.

Think of it like owning (perpetual) vs renting (subscription).

When you own something (perpetual) you can use it forever.

When you rent something (subscription) you can only use it if you continue paying for it.

So if you bought the Subscription you are referring to that would stop working after 12 months (you would need to subscribe again to continue using it).

That's what the upgrade does. Since you own a perpetual license you can upgrade that to the current version for $299. A new perpetual license is $599 so it's half price for existing perpetual license owners to get the current version with a year of releases (and the license never expires).

I don't blame anyone wanting to slap me upside the head (LOL)

Yeah I got caught up on too many ytube clips on this vague concept. Although you mention the upgrade does. But when you click on it, doesn't say upgrade, but rather UPDATE ?

I was really having constraints between the two choices being offered $299.

I will gladly pay for the upgrade at this point.

Just to clarify one more time. I already own 7,8&9, now I'm upgrading, and entitled to a year of updates, and after the year is up, and I don't continue for the yearly fee (subscription or perpetual). I still will be able to use PT.

The only reason why too, is that I'm not a upgrade person, and you can see how long it's been for me being on 9.
I promise this will be the last time I bother you fine folks, and as someone mentioned, I'm making it harder than it has too be.

Happy fathers Day all
