These Mac Pros use what I think is called triple channel memory, and it's most efficient when there are three DIMMs per CPU. I think the benefit depends on how RAM-intensive what you're doing is.

Man I wished I had the dual processors indeed. Looking for more ram now.

Is there anyone here that is running full ram slots ?, and are that happy with the results.

I'm aware I'm still on 32bit, and soon will be upgrading to 2018. So I know I'm missing out for now, but looking forward the move.

I have a 580 video card in my machine - will I have trouble upgrading to Mojave?

Thanks, fantastic news to hear. I see you folks are also running 5,1. with 2018. I'm excited to upgrade from 9 to take advantage of all the new features and abilities.

What I've noticed though on my account to upgrade from 9 to 2018 is the same price as if someone is buying the program for the first time, that's ODD. I would imagine a better price point considering someone has been upgrading from 7 then 8, then cross grading you would be offered a better deal ?

No the 580 is perfect, and recommended for Mojave by Apple, along with the 560. You will lose boot screens though, which is a non-issue for me (it's still showing up during installations/upgrades), but keep that in mind...
