I've updated yesterday but no cigar - no stompboxes or eleven (is it included?).

I already had Avid Spaces so that one is OK here.

As mentioned in several threads, the new eleven plugin bundle will be added to the avid accounts from now until a few weeks so check your accou t every now and then and the plugins will appear. They are NOT inside the 12.2 update. It will be a separate download as they start filling up our accounts.

In the webinar they said anywhere from days up until mid september.

if they are 'giving' these plugins to us then WHY would they put an expiration date on the ilok? my perpetual license is mine if i continue with support or not.

if they are actually 'giving' these plugs to us and NOT loaning them... they should be JUST like the plugs i received free when i registered my interface. i don't have to give them back if i don't have support. they are mine to keep and use even if my support lapses. the software DAW will also function normally with or without support plan... i just won't get anymore updates. right?

If you READ the announcement info, you'll find that you have the plugins for as long as you stay on a support plan. If you ever choose not to renew the support plan, you lose access to the plugins.

It's simple, they will set the iLok license expiry date to match the end date of your support plan. They already have the mechanisms in place to manage this ... expiry dates exist already for plugins if you rent from the Avid Store, and of course there are Pro Tools subscription licenses now too, which also have an expiry date.

When Avid says they are giving you them, they are indulging in a little double speak, because they are only giving you thrm if you keep renewing your support plan.

yeah... quite a bit of double speak i'd say. but par for the course with all the bait and switch antics by practically all companies anymore. they are ALL getting the 'pay to play' fever from the 'free' gaming industry. thank goodness i have what i need already and don't need their 'gifts' lol cheers
