Wav file pitch is slower after exporting.
Hi,
I have a problem when exporting audio from PT LE 6.4. The exported wav's pitch is slower than the original audio recorded in the session. I am recording from DAT (PCM-R500) via SPDF into 001. The session is 44.1k & 16 bit. My clock source in PT is set to SPDF. My export settings are; stereo, 16 bit, 44.1k, convert after. Still sped up. I tried exporting with the DAT on and off which changed the pitch in PT due to the clock source (on sped up, off normal.) I tried exporting with the clock source set to SPDF and internal. I tried recording from the DAT via analog with clock source set to internal. Does anyone have any advise? Thanks T |

Re: Wav file pitch is slower after exporting.
You're probably clocking incorrectly. Check your DAT, it's probably set to 48k.

Re: Wav file pitch is slower after exporting.
Thanks for the reply. I did check the sampling rate on the PCM-R500. The PCM-R500 does not have a selectable sampling rate for playback. However, it does detect what the rate is of the DAT I am playing. I believe this was my problem, the DAT was recorded at 48k and my session was 44.1k. Thanks again Slim.
