Default Avid Pre

Hey there, Im trying to set up a new Avid pre to my Pro tools HD rig. I have 2 hd 16 analog intercases chained and im on windows 10. Its trying to make me connect it to midi so I can control it through pro tools which is what i want but my hd rig doesn't have a midi connection. I also use a slate core station with the raven software. Any help greatly appreciated !!

My MOTU Fastlane has always treated me well but I've never tried it on Windows.

Indeed^^^ As long as you have an open USB port, you can add midi with any number of 3rd party USB-MIDI boxes. I ran the MOTU Fastlane USB 2x2 for many years. For whatever reason, it stopped working here when I moved to windows 10. I ended up with an iConnect 2x2. It works, but they did some setup bits that are decidedly UN-intuitive(so plan on spending a little time to get it all sorted)

I just got a MOTU usb fastlane

And it’s working with Win10 Pro v1709

It’s super nice to have dedicated drivers for midi !!!
