Need help connecting mbox2 to my protools 12 with mac

My mac is a fairly new bought about a year ago i bought protools 12 brand new thinking the newer program the better. I bought a used mbox2 from a friend with usb cable to connect my condesor mic and it wont turn on i tried downloading many different programs and my friend provided a a disk with the drivers but my mac does not have a place for cd inserts.

I am going on 3 days trying to figure this out any help would be great thanks.

See if that helps anything. Just for the record I don't thunk there are any new drivers for PT12 but I know that some members still have the Mbox2 running with PT12 so try the drivers and report back, Best of Luck

I downloaded the top one for mac about 3 times and still no luck even after my laptop resets, i read elsewere that i can try to uninstall some files first and gives me the file names but no clue how to remove them

I am not that good at the mbox series so i hope someone else can chime in and help. We never used the Mbox unfortunately.

My mac is yosemite 3. 10.10 and its saying that its not supported on that page you provided and i tried to download everything on that page. There is not step by step instructions how to get it to work why do they make things so complicated

Unsupported means you're on your own. It doesn't mean it won't work. You won't know until you try.

The Mbox 2 was discontinued in September 2010 and reached the end of support in September 2015.
