Default Upgrading to SL and PT 9. Questions re latest versions.

Macbook Pro 2.4 Intel Core 2 Duo w/4 gigs RAM

1. First: Going from Tiger 10.4.11 to SL
2. Then: From LE 7.3.1 to 9

Update Questions:

I assume the SL upgrade disk will be something like 10.6.3 (or 10.6.2)

I'm guessing I should not update that to the "latest" 10.6.6 yet? Is it ok to run whatever version of 10.6 is on the disk, and not update yet?

Same question re: PT9. Should I first install and run PT9 before I update to 9.0.1 ?

Thanking you all in advance!
Larry

I haven't seen 10.6.6 officially approved yet. Do the combo of 10.6.5.

Install the drivers for the hardware you are using then 9.0.1 then the midi fix.

Hi,

9.0.1 is an update and available for download as an update for users who already have PT9 installed. But if you log into your Avid account 9.0.1 full installer is available which needs no previous version installed.

I have seen some users try installing just the update with no previous version installed!!

FWIW, I've been on 10.6.6 and PT9.01 for a while now and everything is peachy.
